So, this should be an affiliate link list. But the whole point of this newsletter is that it is unfettered and uncomplicated by big-time lacrosse allegiances. Fundraising for the Iroquois Nationals is so critical to their mission to be included in the 2028 Olympics. Please consider contributing to that cause by purchasing directly from this fundraising campaign. Just because the Haudenosaunee people made it into the World Games doesn’t mean that the goal has been achieved. Please consider doing more than just buying that spicy short sleeve hoodie if you can:

I know there is a fair amount of parents on this mailing list and I believe that an independent evaluation is one of the best and most affordable tools you can use to help determine what level your offspring is actually at. Remember: #FactsArentMean. Plus, you have a one in four chance of the evaluator being me. You trust me, right?

One of the bright sides of the PLL Bubble was strengthening my relationships with pro players. Deemer Class wasn’t able to play for the Chaos due to an injury, but he still got involved with PLL commentary online. He started tweeting during the tournament and a few DM’s later and we’re on a Zoom call live-calling a PLL game. That led to more conversations with him and few other guys under the 1st Class Lax Training umbrella and now you get the reap the benefits of that with a custom coupon code! Just go to https://1stclasslax.com/training/ and use “devitte15” in the checkout section to get a discount on their services.
The ECD guys are my favorite dudes in lacrosse. However cool you think they are from YouTube, or meeting them at events, they are just as cool in real life. Even Greg! Find yourself a company that makes quality gear AND doles out tight and meaningful handshake transitional bro hugs.* You just did.

No list would be complete without reminding everyone that I’m the proudest alumnus of the esteemed Clark University. If you would like to support the program that was forced to birth me via graduation, they are opening their team fundraising store on December 1st with an array of affordable and fashionable options, seen here:

Here are two substacks that I love to read written by two guys that directly inspired me to launch the very thing you are reading right now.
For the Soccer fan: No Grass in the Clouds by Ryan O’Hanlon.
A mixture of observational breakdowns and statistical reinvention, Ryan’s Substack is required reading for fans of the beautiful game. I love how he looks at the game differently and without the crazy bias that most soccer writers inevitably fail to hide. Here is my favorite entry of the last few months: https://nograssintheclouds.substack.com/p/why-jack-grealish-is-the-best-player
Any NCAA Fan: Extra Points by Matt Brown
No, the other Matt Brown. This one writes about all the insanity that is college sports. From the pandemic impacting schools (And sports) bottom lines to conference shifts and realignments, if you like your information succinct and direct on the business of college sports, Extra Points is a necessity. Here is Matt’s piece on Clemson cutting their track program: https://extrapoints.substack.com/p/heres-why-clemson-actually-cut-their
